The Story.

“There’s no more original bad boy than Mickey,” a voice declares in the behind-the-scenes featurette. And it’s hard to disagree. In Immortals, Mickey Rourke doesn’t just play a villain—he embodies a force of chaos. As King Hyperion, Rourke creates a character who is brutal, deliberate, and terrifyingly quiet. “He’s not threatening in a way that’s loud or dangerous—it’s all inside him,” the narrator explains. “But it’s very, very scary nonetheless.”
Hyperion’s menace lies in his conviction. While others dismiss ancient prophecies and myths, Hyperion believes—and that belief gives him power. “Everyone else thinks it’s nonsense,” a cast member says, “but he knows it’s real.” That certainty fuels his violent quest to unleash the Titans and bring down the gods themselves.
